I’ve had a busy week, only to be continued with midterms and projects forthcoming, but here are some things I’ve been checking out lately.
- Interested in seeing the amount of snow we got in Athens? My PJ professor, Mark Johnson, very cleverly set up a camera last Friday to shoot a time lapse of the snow over the next 26 or so hours. Check it out here.
- WIRED Magazine just posted a little video about their plans for the iPad. AMAZING. I love Wired Mag, it is probably one of my favorites right now. Check out the amazing video here.
- We watched this ad today in my International Communications class. What I love about this class is how much we’ve talked about the freedom of the press in other countries (which I guess is what the class is about? who knows). The idea for advertising is incredible, and very brave. It always gives me the chills when people value their right of press so much that they would take a stand against an oppressive government.
- Pictory. Part Big Pictue, Part Personal Blog, ALL AWESOME. I’m so blown away by the presentations I’ve found on Pictory.com. Not only are the photos and the personal anecdotes absolutely moving, but the design and interface is incredible to boot! It combines everything I love. What’s so awesome to me about Pictory is that the users submit the photos and the stories, giving it an extremely personal touch. Please check it out. You won’t be sorry.
- This past weekend I made these Red Velvet Cake Balls. It was a really, really bad idea. I had to give the last ten or so away because I was eating five at a time. My blood sugar spiked, that’s for sure. So approach with extreme caution, they are addicting.
- In other baking news, does anyone have a good recipe for maybe chocolate chip coffee cake? I’ve been bouncing a few around. I’m about to run out of Brie and toast, and looking for something equally unhealthy.
